My role as the school counselor is to support students' social, emotional, and interpersonal development, helping them navigate challenges, build healthy relationships, and develop skills that support their overall well-being.
I provide support in a variety of ways, including partnering with classroom teachers to deliver grade-level social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons, facilitating small groups, and offering individual student support. The approach I take is guided by each student's unique needs and circumstances.
Individual counseling is intended to be short-term and goal-focused, with an emphasis on building skills and helping students navigate specific challenges. It is not intended to replace long-term therapy. If a family is seeking ongoing therapeutic support, I am happy to help connect them with outside resources.
I am in the building on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. If you feel your child could benefit from social or emotional support, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am available by email, phone, or in person.
